Ever been to a city and wanted to know how locals experience the city?
In this tour we will show you a different side of Munich – one that is usually only known to Munich residents. We start at the “Grossmarkthalle” in the Dreimühlenviertel with a hearty “Weisswurst” (or a vegetarian alternative in one of the many restaurants). That’s the ideal starting point for our way through the Glockenbachviertel. The Glockenbachviertel is one of the hippest quarters Munich has to offer, so you’ll certainly not miss out. On the way you’ll see some really iconic and unique locations like the “Alte Utting” – a ship in the middle of the city! You’ll plop right into the daily social life of the locals and see how we like to spend our time. Be it on a warm summer eve or drinking mulled wine in the cold winter months. There will be several occasions where you can sit down, rest and get to know the locals over some food or drink or just simply bask in the sun.
The last spot of this tour is the river Isar, where we Munich residents usually buy a cool “Helles” beer at one of the kiosks and then spend the rest of the day with our feet in the Isar.
You definitely should not forget to bring your camera on this tour, as there are so many great photo opportunities. Or you can simply snap a shot or two for your story!
