Already seen the old town and want to get to know Munich from an explorer’s point of view? See something more unique? Less touristy? Heard of a church that has been swallowed by a mountain of trash in the north of Munich and want to see it for yourself?
On this tour we leave the busy and hectic downtown far behind us and go on an idyllic journey to discover some hidden gems. Whether you’re on your way to an FC Bayern game or just need to get out of the city, there’s plenty to see in Fröttmaning! But beware – you have to walk a few kilometers. We recommend you wear sturdy shoes and – in the summer – also bring sunscreen and enough to drink as you’ll be exposed to the sun throughout large treks.
This district has changed more than most in the last 60 years, and the tour will bring you closer to some remnants of this bygone era. We’ll bet you, you wouldn’t have guessed how it looked back then! Of course, we’ll also pass by the Allianz Arena as a staple of Munich tourism, but that’s just one of many highlights on this tour.
This tour ends on the picturesque shoreline of the Isar. There’s green wherever you turn but it’s also a 15 minute walk to the next bus station and 35 minutes to a train station, so you should definitely plan beforehand how to get home or what to do after the tour.
